Abstract
ABSTRACT
Choosing competent workforce is very importan for an industry, for it will support the effiency
of and competitiveness. Ussualy, workforce recruitment is based on the competency need to
meet the present need only, and not to anticipate for the future; therefore the changes of the
environment could not be responded immediatelly. This research tries to find out for choosing
the competent workforce who are able to anticipate the need of future competences. By using
the qualitative methods,so it can develop alternative model of competency need. The
determination conclusion of this research is that it needs to identify the competency need of the
industry, and from that identification it can be created the competency models. The practical
implication of this research result is that it can gain a model that can determine the
competency need.
