REKAYASA IKAN RUCAH SEBAGAI MIKROPARTIKEL UNTUK LARVA UDANG WINDU (Penaeus Monodon) SEBAGAI PENGGANTI PAKAN IMPORT
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Feeding regime was highly determinates success of Prawn larvae (seed) rearing.
Microparticulate is larvae feed that now stiil imported, so that it price tend ti expensive.
Micoparticulate feed actually can be made from cheap raw material and easily obtained, such
as Trash Fish. Engineering in this research means processing by using trash fish of kind
Layur (Trichiurus Sp) as raw tobe made as microparticulate feed. The feed then tested on
Tiger Prawn larvae (Paneaus monodon). The experimental was conducted in Laboratory of
Fishery Faculty Pekalongan University and Aquaculture Study Program – Science and
Engineering Faculty, Unsoed Purwokerto, from April 2010 to August 2010. The Objective of
this research was ti find out production technology of micropaticulate feed also ti know
growth of Tiger Prawn larvae that had gived by Artificial and Commercial Micoparticulate.
The research was using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) that arranged by factorial
and 4 times replicated. Feeding factor consis of Artificial and Commercial Microparticulate.
Factor of feeding interval consist of three levels, such as: 0 hour, 4 hour and 8 hour. The
parameter of growth having been observed includes the gain of weight and length, specific
rate and survival rate of Tiger Prawn larvae (P. monodon). The result of research
showed that microparticulate with raw material Layur fish (Trichiurus sp) already made
successfully. Tiger Prawn larvae (P. monodon) that administered Artificial and Commercial
micropaticulate has gain of wight, specific growth rate and survival rate that not significantly
different (P>0.05). However has gain of length that significantly different (P<0.05) The
Tiger Prawn that administered by artificial microparticulate feed has lower larvae length
than the Tiger Prawn that administered by Commercial microparticulate feed. Feed of Tiger
Prawn larvae (P. monodon ) best administered at time interval of 4 hours.
