ANALISIS TINGKAT KEBERDAYAAN SOSIAL EKONOMI NELAYAN TANGKAP DI KABUPATEN CILACAP

Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyze the power of fisherman, evaluated by economic and non economic aspect, to analyze the performance of fishing by R/C ratio, to analyze the role of stakeholders in increasing fisherman’s income, and to formulate the strategy of empowerment for fisherman. Primary data populated from 100 respondents in South Cilacap Area.  The analysis methods  used are descriptive statistics, crosstab analysis, and analysis of process hierarchy. The results of study indicate that the powers of fisherman are still less, they have low level income with R/C ratio 1,17.  The roles of stakeholders toward coastal area community  are still poor.  So we need strategy to empower them by giving loan (credit), reviving the fisherman’s organization, and giving information about good fishing.
