KEUNGGULAN OPERASIONAL DAN PENCIPTAAN NILAI, SUATU TELAAH EMPIRIS

ABSTRACT
Operational excellence is the company's ability to operate the existing business to generate
sustainable profits by using existing assets. Operational efficiency plays an important role
in the process of value creation because it can support the long term profitability and
growth opportunities. This article attempts to provide an empirical assessment of the
implementation strategy of operational excellence in the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
Based on a sample group of Indonesia Stock Exchange’s LQ 45 companies, this articles
gives empirical evidence that the implementation of operational excellence strategy is
dominated by market forces of the company, up to 40 percent among others caused by
industrial growth and long-term sales agreement. In addition, there are another evidence
that operational excellence strategy also arise from industrial growth and large customer
base. This condition suggests that the strategy of the company's operational excellence will
enable the company to achieve sustainable competitive advantage and will support the
process of value creation for shareholders.
