Abstract


ABSTRACT
The main purpose of this study is to formulate the soft skill development management for
increasing the graduate pf vocational school tourism group quality. The main purpose can be
drawn such as: (1) identifying soft skill which be developed by Vocational School Tourism
Group; : (2) recognizing the implementation soft skill education in SMK tourism groups; (3)
clarifying the actors of soft skill education improvement; (4) identifying the pbstacles of soft
skill improving implementation; and (5) formulating the soft skill improvement; (6)
identifying the model effectivity. Using research and development model as a research
methods, the finding such as : (1) soft skill competences improvement for increasing the
quality such as: self management; communication skill; professional ethics; teamwork; and
entrepreneurship as the soft skill that be need by workplace; (3) the actor of development are
internal and external; (4) the challenges of implementation as follows: the lack of
understanding concept of soft skill and the process; (5) the best practices of model have to
plan, implement and evaluate; (6) the result of model aplication is in high level. Regarding
the finding, the reccomendation be given, are : (1) the soft skill competences must be
including in program planning; (2) to implement the soft skill improvement must in
management principles; (3) the actor in improvement has to be sinergy; (4) recognize the
obstacles; (5) the effective model is the model that match with the objective; (6) increasing
the effectivity of the model.
